We asked an AI to write a blog about the future of marketing - Here’s what it told us…
Automation is at the forefront of conversation when it comes to business. How much can we hand off to non-human entities? Artificial Intelligence (AI) isn’t new, but the more it learns, the better it becomes. There are various AI platforms that can write copy for you. We gave an AI copywriter the word “Marketing” and this is what It came up with:
1. Develop a Personal Brand
If you haven't already taken the time to build a personal brand then it's time to get serious about it. Creating a personal brand requires consistent marketing, plus learning to harness social media.
A few steps to take to start creating your personal brand are increasing your social media presence, building relationships with other experts, and creating a loyal customer base.
Your goal is to attract and keep loyal customers for as long as possible. In gathering this audience, it will allow you to more effectively and consistently reach an audience that sees you as an authority on a topic.
2. Target Audiences
Who are you trying to reach? Do you know?
In 2022, it will be more important than ever to know who you are marketing toward. You will need to consider your audience's likely interests, buying habits, and the tools and technology they use.
Pay attention to consumer and business media: the web, print, broadcast, traditional and online media. Know the news, the trends, and consumer trends that your customers use.
3. Get Creative
As seen in the last few years, creating a website has become old news, but is still necessary. Why? Consumers aren't only on their computer browsing Google--they are bouncing between many platforms.
This means that businesses need to be present where their users are day-to-day. Are they on Facebook? YouTube? Netflix?
Get creative by thinking of creative ways to present your company and what your services are on these platforms. In doing so, you may find ways to get some extra revenue through sources like YouTube Ad placements.
4. Optimize for Voice Search Assistants
In 2022, the world will continue to see high growth in the number of smart devices. Smart devices, such as Amazon Alexa, will become a vital source of information for consumers. Advertisers and small businesses who can leverage their own brand will seize the opportunity to be found via smart devices.
5. Improve Your SEO
Over the past few years, SEO has become a big deal in driving online sales. It’s one of the biggest ways to optimize your business for the web and it will become even more important in the next five years. Take the time to learn about the latest changes in SEO and where you should be focusing your efforts to improve your business online.
6. Use Social Media
As of right now, you and your small business can no longer afford not to take advantage of social media. To start, over 70% of Americans use at least one social media platform. Not to mention, social media can give you a wealth of information about your target audience.
7. Create a Creative Business Logo
A creative logo well matched to the brand and the audience can be incredibly powerful for awareness and brand recognition. Just think about companies like Nike, Apple, or McDonald's. Simply by picturing those brands or hearing their names in your head, you have a set expectation of what to expect from them.
8. Innovate and Be Unique
It's easy to get lost in the clutter of the internet today. It's much easier to chase what's in the forefront of our minds because we have so much going on in our lives. But those that are innovative are the ones that have the opportunity to create a niche for themselves.
Your small business can be that niche.
9. Find Your Niche Market
This is the key to owning a market as a small business. Some small businesses tend to stay general in one market, and they're doing fine. You, on the other hand, have the opportunity to offer an even more niche service and capitalize on the lack of competition.
10. Optimize for Mobile Devices.
For some small businesses, a “mobile” device is a computer. For others, a “mobile” device is something else entirely, like a smartwatch, or even a smart speaker. Regardless of what you own or what device you use, there are ways to make it work for you as a small business owner.
When designing your marketing plan for the year, consider where your small business is today. How many customers are on mobile devices? How many people will be using smart speakers in your stores? If it’s time to consider investing in some of the newer technologies, take action early.
